Last October we were so privileged to be a part of a day that can only be described as pure magic.  The Darlington House set the most romantic scene for this Refined Bohemian soiree.  The bride and groom are not only totally gorgeous, stylish and creative but also so in love and sweet.  We couldn’t have asked for a dreamier client.  They were open to our less traditional ideas like covering the existing arch with Bougainvillea, using Noah Bells for escort cards and vintage matchbooks – something they collect- for the guest book which guests then placed in cigar boxes.  Everything from the linens to the flowers to Michelle’s fantastic long-sleeved, lace gown helped create the ideal elegant, chic and insanely fun wedding.   Jill Thomas, a photographer I have admired and loved for years, captured every moment, every detail with total perfection.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner!  Any big romantic plans out there?  I’m dreaming of jet-setting to some warm, tropical place and hanging out on a hammock with a cocktail or two.  Probably not going to happen but a girl can dream, right?  Most likely I’ll be sitting at home on the couch catching up on True Detective!  So romantic!

This table we designed with The Little Branch a couple of years ago for the Utterly Engaged party Fizz and Frills always makes me think of Valentine’s Day and a sweet dinner for two with girly, pink details balanced out by the black and white graphics.  I love the floral details that were hand-painted for us and used throughout and the little touch of glitzy glam!

Friends!  We are going to The Cream Event!!  Make sure you snag your  tickets before they are sold.out.  Which could happen any day now!  We’ll be there with bells on and we can’t wait.  Last year was crazy good and the bar was set high but we are dreaming and scheming and getting our pretty on.  Make sure you stop by and say hi!!!

Have you heard???  Utterly Engaged just sent out the very first run of their brand new PRINT magazine!  I can’t wait to get my hands on mine!  Have you ordered yours yet?  If not, you still can but make sure you order it soon before they are all gone!  February 8th is the last chance to order.  And keep your eyes peeled for the gorgeous shoot we put together at LoftSEVEN with Be Inspired PR, Kurt Boomer, Dolce Designs, Artistry by Danika and so many other top notch vendors.  Here is a little sneak peek but, trust me, you definitely want to see the rest of it!

It doesn’t get much better than waking up on a Monday morning to find out that one of your all-time favorite weddings is featured on Style Me Pretty!  And that also means that I get to finally share these images from the phenomenal talent Elan Klein!  This day pretty much had the dream team of vendors – Elan, 24 Carrots, Pow Wow Vintage Rentals, Borrowed BluAustin HendrixThorne ArtistryModern 8 Films, and Smile Booth!  And, of course, the dreamiest of venues – Rancho Las Lomas.  This place is pure magic with the gorgeous teatro, stunning gardens, a cozy reception room and tigers! June and Daniel, who are two of the sweetest people ever, handcrafted a lot of the decor themselves like the wood signs, table numbers and adorable lace covered potted succulents.  We brought in a mix of vintage bud vases filled with sweet, soft-hued stems and, paired with Borrowed Blu’s handmade napkins and runners and Pow Wow’s fun, vintage glassware, the setting was beyond romantic!

Jenn and Stephen – Can’t wait to share more of this one! – at The Huron Substation.

We helped so many awesome couples have their dream weddings this year and I wish that I could share every single one with you but, unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a little bit longer since some are awaiting publication on our favorite blogs.  BUT not only is this a celebration of a new year it is also our big Five Year Anniversary! Over the next few days we’re going to be sharing some of our favorite weddings and photo shoots from the past five years!

Our first wedding!  Erin and Chuck got married at the lovely Dana Powers House.  Erin created all the beautiful decor and designs herself and we set-up and styled everything on the day-of.  We also made the cupcakes….hence the SWEET in Sweet Emilia Jane.  These two just had gorgeous twins and we couldn’t be happier for them!
