I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am that my path crossed with roomforty’s a few months ago.  Steve, Lisa and the rest of the gang over there are pretty awesome folks and are doing crazy amazing things in the catering world.  Not only do they serve up some of the most creative, delicious, beautiful food for weddings and events but they also host pop-up dinners in LA and Orange County that you are not going to want to miss.  I was so honored that Steve asked me to provide florals for their last pop-up dinner at one of my favorite places in LA – the last bookstore.  On a recent walk I had found these crazy vines taking over an alley by our new house/studio in Pasadena and had been waiting for the opportunity to do some ninja foraging.  I love how the wild yet elegant arrangements turned out!  Feast your eyes on Ashley Kelemen’s beautiful photos from the evening…and then sign yourself up for May’s pop-up dinner!!!

Not only was this bundle named Lover.ly‘s bundle of the week awhile back but it also made it into Magnolia Rouge’s latest rustic issue!  I have to say I’m quite smitten with the collection of inspiration and would love to bring it to life!

Don’t you just love rustic weddings? You can do some much with the wedding invitations, stationery and decor! The best part is it can be eco-friendly and not too expensive too! 😀ReplyCancel

OH and I have to share the inspiration board for this dreamy coastal ranch wedding.  We really wanted to take inspiration from the natural beauty of the ranch with a little bit of a nod to the Southern California coast.  The result was an earthy elegance that matched the setting so perfectly.

I love the color scheme of this coastal ranch wedding. You did some beautiful work. I am using this board as inspiration for my home décor. Do the colors have names that I can use for paint choices?ReplyCancel

I am seriously behind on blogging!   There are so many amazing events in the queue that I’m dying to share with you…some are waiting to be published on blogs and in magazines and some, well, I’ve just been too busy to blog.  BUT I really, really need to share this Los Alamos wedding with you.  I know I say this every time but it really was one of my favorite weddings and this straight-out-of-a-Ralph-Lauren-ad-couple were my dream client.  They are so sweet and smart and funny and just plain awesome!  This wedding definitely kicked my butt since it was on a HUGE ranch and these party animals were going strong till 2am but it was worth it!  Check out more pictures from the oh-so-talented Ken Kienow on Style Me Pretty!

I hope you are having a Valentine’s day that is full of lots of love!  I’m going to spend the day with my favorite little Valentine celebrating her very first Valentine’s day!  If you need some last minute ideas for what to get the favorite people in your life make sure you check out the Valentine’s Day Series I put together for A Subtle Revelry.  There’s something for everyone from your hubby to your best friend!

OK We’re going to try this again!

I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be teaming up with some pretty stellar vendors for the Los Angeles NotWedding.  I remember oohing and aahing over the very first NotWedding in Atlanta.  I had never seen anything like it before…a bridal show like no other…with cool, out-of-the-box ideas for those of us who didn’t want a cookie cutter wedding.  I’m hoping to bring that same level of freshness to the table this year and I think with the help of folks like The Little Branch and Smitten on Paper the creativity will be through the roof!

I hope you’ll join us on Wednesday, February 27th for what is sure to be an awesome night packed with inspiration!  Get your tickets here or enter right now for a chance to get a ticket for $5!   Just a few rules: to win you must be engaged, must agree to get more information from the NotWedding vendors and must list Sweet Emilia Jane as the vendor who referred you.

OK, so to enter simply leave a comment here about why you want to go to the NotWedding and I’ll pick a winner at random next week.

Make sure you find me in the Tunnel of Love and say hello!  I’ll be giving away some sweet goodies to the first 100 people or so who stop by!

*Winning ticket will be $30 off regular priced ticket.

Since I’ve been engaged & have started planning our wedding, I’ve only been to one wedding- and I feel like it was the most incredibly insightful, helpful thing EVER! I saw what worked, what didn’t, what I loved, and what I would definitely want to change when we have our big day.

I’d love to go to the Not Wedding and have the opportunity to learn more and get that experience once again. Plus, I want my date to be my best friend, Kelsey, who is getting married in March. Double the wedding learning & fun! xoReplyCancel

I’m a geek bride and not having a conventional wedding. I would love to go to the Not wedding event as I would love to be in a place that has venues that would be suitable for a bride like me. I want to see unique and different like Sweet Emilia Jane! Hence why I would love to go!ReplyCancel

A while back Jessica of A Vintage Affair Rentals found my Etsy shop and asked me to recreate the Mr. and Mrs. signs that I had made for Devon and Jake’s wedding for her own elegant, rustic wedding.  I love how the white ink on kraft paper turned out and the rest of her romantic celebration is just stunning.  You can see some of the sweet details shot by Laura Murray on Martha Stewart Weddings!
