Exquisite Weddings Photo Shoot with the Floral Lab

More flowers!  I created some sassy peony and garden rose arrangements for The Floral Lab for a photo shoot with Sitting in a Tree that came out in the latest issue of Exquisite Weddings.  If you can find a copy near you grab it!  The shoot is so much fun!  AND if you look closely at the behind the scenes video you can see Tori and I totally geeking out in front of the camera!

Sneak Peek: Claudine + Michael’s Flowers

I am still recovering from the incredible Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse wedding we put together this past weekend.  We did the design and flowers for the wedding and with building a birch alter onsite, arranging vintage furniture and just sweating in the Los Olivos sun I am beat!  Thank goodness I had Dannikke, Amber, Christina and Whitney to help me out!  I definitely could not have done it without those girls!

I can’t wait to see the photos from EP Love!  But until then here are some photos that I took of the centerpieces we created.  These might be my favorite centerpieces ever but I’m gaga for anything dahlia.  How perfect and pretty are those peach ladies?

Romantic Lakeside Wedding Inspiration

I am head over heels in love with this stunning photo shoot that we featured on Style Me Pretty a couple of days ago.  The soft, romantic textures and colors paired with succulents and vintage pieces just makes my heart swell.  I put together a budget-friendly buying guide for anyone who wants to recreate the look for their own wedding.  And, say, if you do, can I be invited???

Real Wedding: Stacy + Ozhan

Remember these two?  Could we ever imagine they would have a wedding less than absolutely spectacular?  Well, that’s exactly what they had and more!  It was probably the most luxurious wedding I’ve done to date and it was simply exquisite.  The open air tent, the romantic candlelight, the creamy florals.  It was rustic elegance at it’s very best.  Though I was always there for support, the vision and the details were all Stacy.  She and her family made the wooden signs, the fun mad libs at each place setting and all the burlap runners.

And Jackie Wonders is such a dream!  I mean take a look at these photos!  GORGEOUS!

REAL WEDDING: Raquel + Robert

I didn’t mean to but I totally forgot to share a wedding that we did back in June.  I ADORE these two sweethearts.  They have been together for-like-ever and are still completely in love.  Raquel made all of the decor herself including the flowers.  We swooped in and set it all up for her the day-of including that fun lace hoop tree and ribbon installation for the ceremony.  Everything about this wedding was easy and sweet.  Raquel and Robert have an amazing group of friends and family.  The love was overflowing.  Their talented photographer, Sheri Wade, posted some amazing photos on her blog so you should check them all out.

Raquel - Aww thanks Emilia for your sweet words! :)

Mother of the Bride - A million thanks to you emilia for making it all possible to display all my daughters DIY projects look beautiful! AMAZING DAY for Mom & Dad:)

REAL WEDDING: Miki + Russel

OK. I know I am REALLY bad at giving sneak peeks of weddings and then never following through with the real deal.  Well, there was NO WAY I was going to let myself get away with not showing you my favs from Miki and Russel’s Point Vicente Interpretive Center wedding shot by the ever-so-fabulous-o Katie Neal Photo.  We were soooooo thrilled to be featured on 100 Layer Cake yesterday too!

OK…so I decided to just put all the details on here in no particular order because I LOVE them all!  There were so many fun, quirky pieces that went into making this an awesome day.  I had a vision of draping rope over all the walls and my friend + artist, Jessica Pezalla, made that happen by installing my rope decor as well as Miki’s fun paper cranes.  For the tables, we made modern cactus and succulent orb terrariums paired with vintage bottles, cholla branches, feathers and brightly colored flowers.  The napkins were way more pink than the coral they were supposed to be BUT they still look rad against the more neutral backdrop.  Miki and Russel added in loads of personal touches like the thrifted casette tape covers as table numbers, the pinata that Miki’s dad opened up at the end of the night and, of course, multiple musical numbers, a salsa dance lesson and loads of personality!

the joielala girls - these are amazing!!! Good work lady! :)

Winter Discount

Southern California is an incredible place to get married for many reasons but a major plus is that you can pretty much wed any time of year without too much of a hassle from ol’ mother nature.  To celebrate those crispier months I wanted to offer a discount to all the couples thinking outside the box and braving that scary 50-60 degree weather!:) So for December 2011 through February 2012 I’m offering $300 off my month-of coordination package.   Email me for deets and info!
